Louis (“Louie”) Frank operated a cigar factory in Oskaloosa at 222-224 First Avenue West from 1885 until about 1894. Before opening his own cigar factory, he worked as a cigar maker (1880).

Louis Frank was briefly in partnership with Will R. Campfield in 1892. Their cigar factory employed six people and produced 25,000 cigars a month.
