Born in Germany March 2, 1846. Came to U.S. in 1857. Worked as a cigar maker until 1878 when he started his own cigar factory. Wife: Louisa Schiegel. Rudolph Priester was elected as city treasurer for four terms.
He died February 16, 1896.
